WHO WE ARE

A youth-led movement proving that peace is action

Founded 2021 · Registered CSO No. 5821 · Addis Ababa and regional chapters across Ethiopia

OUR STORY

Peace starts with people.

Positive Peace Ethiopia is a youth-led civil society organization founded in 2021 and registered with the Ethiopian Authority for Civil Society Organizations (Reg. No. 5821). What began as a group of young people who believed peace starts with people has grown into a national movement for peace, justice, digital rights and community resilience.

We don’t see young people, women and communities as recipients of aid. We see them as architects of peace. From our office in Addis Ababa and regional chapters across Ethiopia, we tackle the root causes of conflict, strengthen community bonds, and make sure those most affected by violence have a real voice in the peace that follows.

Sustainable peace is only possible when young people, women and marginalized communities shape the solutions.
