WHO WE ARE

Young Ethiopians,
building peace together!

ሰላም

Founded in September 2021, Positive Peace Ethiopia is a youth-led movement proving that peace is action. We counter hate speech online, spark honest conversations, and train young peace ambassadors through workshops and school programs. We're not just dreaming of a peaceful tomorrow; we're building it today, one ripple at a time

why peace ?

Peace starts with people.

01.

Youth & Peace

Young people aren't just the future of peace in Ethiopia; they're shaping it now. Through workshops, school programs, and regional chapters, we equip youth to lead dialogue and resolve conflict in their own communities.

02.

Truth & Community

Misinformation spreads fast and divides communities. Through 251CHECK and our fact-checking fellowship, we verify claims in Amharic and train journalists and citizens to spot false information before it causes harm.

03.

Women & Peacebuilding

Lasting peace needs women at the table. From the Entoto Peace Walk to our Women's Digital Safe Spaces program, we support women as leaders in peace, online and in their communities.
